Bargain Hunter

May 23rd, 2009

Some people would never shop the clearance aisles of the local stores and would never buy clothing or other items from a consignment store or yard sale. Other people find great bargains at these places and enjoy saving money.

I like to shop the clearance aisle at the local drug store. They often have things after a holiday marked down by 75%. That is a huge savings and if you can use it after the holiday or save it in the closet until the holiday comes around again next year, I think that saving money is a good thing.

If angels do cry, they must be the saddest moments of all.

Monday Blues

May 11th, 2009

My weekend sucked. It was cold and rainy and we’ve had so much rain that my yard is a big mud puddle. I could not go outside without getting drenched, so I just didn’t go. I stayed cooped up in the house and suffered from cabin fever all weekend. I don’t feel like I got anything worthwhile accomplished and yet now the weekend is over and it is still raining and I have to go to work to start the week off again – on a blue note.

Bleh.

Prettiest Girls in L. A.

May 6th, 2009

I hate to watch the TV show, “The Price is Right.” That annoying bell that ding ding ding ding dings and the crowds who lose all self respect and jump up and down and act totally stupid just get on my nerves. It comes on my TV right after Rachel Ray, and if I’m not sitting right next to the remote control I sometimes have to suffer through the first few minutes of this gagmaker until I can get over to the TV and punch the OFF button.

But I WILL say, that those girls who strut around the stage with a big tooth whitened grin and gracefully pointing long slender fingers, always look MARVELOUS. Those girls have perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect bodies and the most gorgeous dresses that I see on TV. So good job, TV producers!

Forgetting Something

May 4th, 2009

Do you ever head to bed because it is “bedtime” and then you just lay in the bed staring at the ceiling because you are sure that you are forgetting something? something that is important, you were supposed to do today but put it off for some reason, something you needed to stay out of trouble or remain in compliance or that you promised to another who is counting on you to do it?

I can’t sleep.
